Seller Order Preparation & Packaging Guidelines
Seller Order Preparation & Packaging Guidelines
All sellers must prepare, package, and label their orders properly before Quick Ride collects them for delivery.
Quick Ride’s delivery service is responsible for collecting ready packages from the seller and delivering them to the customer. Sellers are responsible for making sure the correct item is packed, sealed, labelled, and ready on time.
1. Order Preparation Time
Once an order is confirmed, the seller must prepare the item before the scheduled pickup time.
The driver should not arrive and have to wait while the seller looks for the item, wraps it, checks the order, or writes the label.
Orders must be ready for collection when the driver arrives.
If an order is not ready, Quick Ride may refuse collection, reschedule the pickup, or apply an additional pickup or delivery charge.
2. Seller Responsibility Before Pickup
Before handing an order to the driver, the seller must:
Confirm the correct item
Check the item condition
Make sure all parts or accessories are included
Package the item safely
Seal the package properly
Attach a clear delivery label
Make sure the package matches the customer’s order
Have the package ready at the scheduled collection time
Quick Ride is not responsible for wrong items, missing parts, incorrect product condition, or poor packaging done by the seller.
3. Accepted Packaging
Sellers must use proper packaging that protects the item during delivery.
Accepted packaging includes:
Boxes
Mailer envelopes
Padded envelopes
Sealed business bags
Branded store bags
Protective wrapping
Bubble wrap for fragile items
Secure packaging for electronics
Sealed containers for approved grocery or household items
The package must be clean, closed, and safe for the driver to transport.
4. Packaging Not Accepted
Quick Ride may refuse to collect packages that are not properly prepared.
Not accepted:
Loose items
Open bags
Unsealed packages
Dirty or damaged bags
Items handed directly to the driver without packaging
Random plastic bags with no label
Fragile items with no protection
Leaking packages
Packages with no customer information
Packages that are unsafe to transport
Sellers must not give the driver an item in a careless or unprofessional condition.
5. Delivery Label Requirement
Every package must have a clear delivery label attached.
The label must be easy for the driver to read and must match the customer’s order.
The delivery label should include:
Order number
Customer name
Customer phone number
Delivery address
Seller or store name
Seller contact number
Short item description
Delivery option
6. Example Delivery Label
Order Number: #1234
Customer Name: John Joseph
Customer Phone: 758-000-0000
Delivery Address: Rodney Bay, Gros Islet
Seller/Store Name: ABC Electronics
Seller Contact: 758-111-1111
Item: Samsung Phone Charger
Delivery Option: Two-Day Delivery
The label helps the driver confirm the package quickly and deliver it to the correct customer.
7. Electronics and Fragile Items
Electronics and fragile items must be packaged with extra care.
Sellers should use protective wrapping, padding, boxes, or secure packaging to reduce the risk of damage during delivery.
For electronics, the seller must make sure the listing clearly states what is included, such as chargers, cables, batteries, accessories, manuals, or original packaging.
If the item is used, refurbished, scratched, damaged, or missing parts, that must already be stated in the product listing before the customer buys.
8. Clothing, Shoes, and Accessories
Clothing, shoes, and accessories must be clean, folded or arranged properly, and placed in sealed packaging.
If the item is used, the seller must make sure the condition is clearly shown in the product photos and description.
Shoes and accessories should be protected so they do not get damaged, crushed, or mixed with another order.
9. Grocery and Household Items
Approved grocery and household items must be packed safely and securely.
Items that can spill, leak, break, or open during transport must be sealed properly before collection.
Quick Ride may refuse items that are leaking, poorly sealed, unsafe, or not suitable for delivery.
10. Multiple Orders
If a seller has more than one order for collection, each order must be packaged and labelled separately.
Do not place multiple customer orders together without clear separation.
Each package must have its own delivery label with the correct order number and customer information.
11. Driver Pickup Process
When the driver arrives, the seller should hand over only packages that are ready for delivery.
The driver may check the order number, customer name, and delivery address on the label before accepting the package.
The driver is not responsible for checking the product inside the package unless Quick Ride specifically requires inspection for that order.
Once the package is collected, Quick Ride will deliver it according to the selected delivery option.
12. Failed Pickup
A pickup may fail if:
The package is not ready
The seller cannot find the item
The package has no label
The item is not packaged properly
The package is leaking or unsafe
The seller gives the wrong package
The pickup location is not accessible
The seller is unavailable at pickup time
If a pickup fails because of the seller, the order may be delayed, cancelled, rescheduled, or subject to an additional pickup or delivery charge.
13. Returns, Exchanges, and Redelivery
Quick Ride’s standard delivery service covers one pickup from the seller and one delivery to the customer.
Returns, exchanges, and redeliveries are separate delivery arrangements.
If a return is approved, the customer is responsible for paying to send the item back to the seller.
If an exchange is approved, the customer must pay to send the original item back to the seller, and the seller must pay to deliver the replacement item back to the customer, unless both parties agree to another arrangement.
Quick Ride is not responsible for covering extra delivery costs after the original delivery is completed.
14. Final Seller Checklist
Before collection, sellers should confirm:
The correct item is packed
The item matches the customer’s order
The package is sealed
The package is protected
The delivery label is attached
The customer name and address are correct
The order number is visible
The package is ready before the driver arrives
Following these guidelines helps reduce delays, refunds, disputes, damaged items, and failed deliveries.
Prepare the order properly. Label it clearly. Have it ready on time.
